Democrat Mike Gravel was the first candidate to officially declare his intention to run for President in 2008. The youngest among us may not remember, but Mike Gravel has a principled history. Mr. Gravel stood against the Vietnam War back in the 1970s, filibustering in the United States Senate against the draft and pushing for the release of the Pentagon Papers. Now, in the first decade of the 21st century, Mike Gravel is standing against war once again, and running for President as a way of spreading that message.
Do you want to help the Mike Gravel 2008 movement get off the ground?
