IRREGULAR TIMES Splintered Speech
The Medium is the Mud Pie

It used to be said that a picture is worth a thousand words. These days, it might be more apt to note that a word evokes a thousand pictures.

With the advent of text-based search engines on the Internet, words are making a comeback from the glitzy days of the 1990s, when glossy computer enhanced graphics were seen as the communication form of the future. Whether it's graphic or textual, we've got a good deal of words to use here in our comments on the splintered speech that has been left in the aftermath of the collapse of the walls erected by traditional media.

Be it soft speech or sharp speech, speak! In today's culture wars, the medium is the mud pie.
